Formatting the Hard Drive

To be able to record data on to the Hard Drive, the partitioned Hard Drives must be activated and formatted.

Right click on My Computer and choose Manage.

Right click on Unallocated drive and select New Partition… to start the New Partition Wizard.

Click Next to continue.

Select Primary partition and click Next.

Choose default maximum partition size and click Next.

Assign drive letter (any letter except C), then click Next.

Choose NTFS format, name of the drive, and choose to Perform quick format. Click Next.

Click Finish to complete.

The drive should indicate that it is Formatting. When completed correctly, it should show that the drive(s) is Healthy.
