Assembly of Components

In order for the system to work properly, it must meet all of the system requirements listed below.

System Requirements:
MAIN PROCESSOR:	Pentium® 4, 2.4 Ghz or faster
MOTHERBOARD:	ATX with Intel® Chipset Motherboard
RAM:	256 Mbytes or more
HARD DISK DRIVE:	80 Gb or larger (Must be partitioned)
VGA CARD:	ATI chip series, 64 Mbytes or better, True Color 32 bit
BACKUP DEVICE:	External Hard Disk Drive, CD-RW, DVD, DAT, ZIP, etc.
MOUSE:	PS/2 Mouse
KEYBOARD:	PS/2 Keyboard
NETWORK:	10/100 MBPS LAN
POWER:	300W Min
OPERATING SYSTEM:	Windows® 2000 or Windows® XP Direct X: v8.1 or Higher

• Assemble the above components. Consult the manufacturer’s manual for details.

• When installing Windows Operating System, partition the hard drive to separate the program files from the recorded video data.

• Ten Gigabytes for Windows OS and Program Files should be sufficient.

• The remaining hard drive memory should be partitioned for data storage. When installing 2 or more Hard Drives, the second drive does not need to be partitioned.

• Example (for one system):

• Hard Drive 1 (total 80 Gb): partitioned, 10 Gb for drive “C:” and 70 Gb for drive “D:”
• Hard Drive 2 (total 80 Gb): unpartitioned, 80 Gb for drive “E:”

(Note: The drive letter for the Windows/Program Files must be named “C:” The drive letters for all other drives is insignificant.)

Install the drivers for the Motherboard, VGA (Graphics) Card, and other installed hardware before moving on the next step of installing the Lexion DVR Board.
